Another day,another County.
We were sad to leave Haven Cottage and our new friends Tim and Lindsey.
We had a wonderful 3 night stay , made to feel more than just guests.
We dove straight here on the M6/M56 as it was the last day of Bank Hol w/end and traffic threatening to abysmal. We got here about 1230, luckily could check in. Got a taxi into town as Doubleltree Hilton on outskirts.
Walked through "The Rows", old black/white timber fronted shops, less crowds than the Lakes area.
Climbed stairs to the old wall which almost circles the city and walked around over 1/2 of it and along River Dee. Wandered back through the shops for Eileen and I, the boys less than impressed!!:<(
Started to rain so ducked down an alley, found the Commercial pub and ended a staying there for a few drinks and cheap meal as it was quiet there.
Had seen about all we wanted to see so got taxi back to hotel now having quiet night.
1st photo"The Rows"
